Radiology:
Radiology is a major tool that can be used by a Veterinarian to diagnose your pet. When in this room your pet is kept safe by at least two members of our veterinary team. They take every precaution possible to keep your pet happy and safe while in their care. When at all possible pets are kept conscious for their radiographs, but sometimes they need a little sedation in order to relax for their pictures.
Our radiographs (or x-rays) are developed in clinic, giving our doctors instant access to pictures of your pet's insides!
Not in this room, but also a part of radiology, is our dental radiograph unit. This until helps us ensure that your pet's teeth are healthy. Just like in a human dentist appointment, it's impossible for our doctors to see underneath the gumline. Dental radiographs allow our doctors to see bone loss, fractures, and many other dental problems. Unlike us, our pets won't open up and say "ahhh" so usually dental radiographs are only able to be taken while your pet is under anesthesia.
